Hello! My name is Tara Hall and I currently serve as Pour into Houston’s Treasurer. I believe that mental health does not get the attention it deserves and am so excited to see PiH make a difference in our community when it comes to mental health services.
I grew up in Katy, Tx (proud Katy Tiger) and left long enough to get my degree from Howard Payne University and then returned home to the city I love. My career has been focused in the accounting world since college, where I have worked for some great companies and made lifelong friends along the way. I just started with a new company in June of 2020 as their office manager and bookkeeper and am loving learning about the civil engineering world now.
I have always had a heart for helping others and began with PiH as a volunteer for the very first cornhole tournament back in 2018. In the fall of 2018, I joined Pour into Houston as the Engagement Coordinator and then moved into the Treasurer position in August of 2019. I also volunteer my time with the Houston Livestock Show & Rodeo (Ticket Services Committee), Big Brothers Big Sisters, and several dog rescue groups in the Houston area.
I married my best friend in March of 2019. We have three dogs -Shelley, Bella, and Buddy who we spoil rotten (along with any foster dogs). Besides volunteering, I am a huge Houston sports fan and love cheering on the Texans, Astros, and Rockets. I love spending time with my family, friends and traveling (beach please). My two nephews live in Omaha, NE and I am always excited when given the opportunity to spend time with them.
