My name is Jamie Baker and I serve as Pour into Houston’s Marketing and Communications Coordinator. I am pleased to join this team on their mission of providing Mental Health Care services to the community.
My passion for service initially started within my church where my mother took me on local and international mission trips. This fostered a desire to continue serving. In high school I was selected to participate in the district’s Youth in Philanthropy program and as an adult I’ve come full circle and now serve as a mentor to current high school students. I’ve also served as a volunteer on the Houston Rodeo Poultry Auction Committee for the past three years and I’ve most recently taken on the role as Chair of my employer’s volunteer Committee.
I’m engaged to the most supportive man who has been my rock these past few years. I have a 5-year-old daughter who will start kindergarten in the fall. Since my fiancé is a high school football coach, we spend every Friday night during the fall at football games cheering him on with my daughter being the loudest of all. I was never a huge sports fan before but my love for it has surely grown watching him do what he loves and make such an impact in the athletes lives at the same time.
